Choir
The choir, led by Cantor Janet Muth, is open to all members of Memorial Lutheran Church
who enjoy singing. Choir practice is held each Wednesday evening at 7:20 p.m.September
through May in the music room. The choir supports the worship services at Memorial
each Sunday and for special services throughout the year. You can contact Cantor Muth

Handbells & Instrumentalists
The handbell choir, led by Cantor Janet Muth is also open to all members of Memorial
Lutheran Church though the choir is limited to eleven members at any one time. Practice
is held each Thursday evening at 5:30 p.m. September through May. The handbells also
support the worship services at Memorial at Sunday services and for special services
throughout the year. We welcome instrumentalists to accompany the worship services,
so if you play a musical instrument, please let the Cantor know. You can contact Cantor

Moms & Tots
Moms and Tots is a playgroup that is geared towards moms with infants and toddlers.
We meet regularly twice a month, participating in local events, field trips, and playtime
at a member's home. Please call the church office for more information: 713.782.6079.
We currently meet once or twice a month in our homes or schedule planned outings.

Lutheran Youth Fellowship (LYF)
This group is for all high school age students. LYF meets the 2nd and 4th Sundays
of the month immediately after late service (12:30 till 3:00) for food, fun, and fellowship.
The goal of LYF is to allow our youth to grow in their faith through fellowship and
service. LYF has sent high school mission teams to work in New York, Alabama, Mexico
City, and this summer will work at Camp Dixie in Elberta, Alabama. For more information

Junior Youth Fellowship (JYF)
This group is for students fifth through seventh grades. JYF meets the 2nd and 4th
Sundays of the month immediately after late service (12:30 till 2:30). Activities
include lunch, sports and off-campus activities. The goal of JYF is to encourage our
youth to grow in their faith through fellowship and service. For more information

Young Adults, Married and Single (YAMS)
YAMS usually meet monthly to provide an opportunity for social interaction with a
Christian focus. Activities can include topical Bible study or a social event or a
service project held away from the church. Past activities include: BBQ picnics, crawfish
boils, musical/comedy performances, movie nights, Christmas caroling, and more.

Prime Timers
This active group is for the "middle agers" too old for the YAMS (Young Adults Married
and Single 20's-mid 30's) and too young for the Pep Club (Seniors 50+). Monthly events
are planned ranging from game nights at someone's house, to nights-out at a dinner
theater, to bowling. Anyone may attend - single or married. We have a great time so
come join us!
We normally meet the 3rd or 4th Saturday of each month, but if special events come

People Enjoying People (PEP Club)
Perhaps the most sought after group at MLC, the PEP Club welcomes anyone 50 years
or older. Our belief is to help members explore and strengthen their relationship
with Christ through creativity by sponsoring events that promote Christian fellowship.
Discover ways you can embrace life at any age through the PEP Club.
You will find our exciting group activities to include bus trips to places such as
Sam Houston National Forest or San Antonio, museums, parties, or going out to dinner
or the theater - you get the idea. Bus departs from the church. For information on

Lutheran Women in Mission
This organization is for all women who desire to share in fellowship while at the
same time helping to support various mission projects inside and outside the congregation.
Join us on the third Monday of each month at 6:45 p.m. in the school library.

This groups of dads and kids gets together on Saturdays for outings together. At the
