The next class begins February 10, 2008. Classes will meet each Sunday, 12:30-2:30 p.m. Lunch and babysitting are provided. You can register through February 24 for this class by emailing Pastor Scott Murray. You can also mail a printable registration form, or register by phone at 713.782.6079. Registration is appreciated, but not necessary.

What is it?
  • Adult instruction prepares adults for
  • membership in the Lutheran Church.
Why should I come?
  • To grow in your personal faith
  • To meet other Christians seeking greater understanding
  • To become more familiar with the basic teachings of the Bible
  • To rest secure in the salvation that Jesus Christ has won for you and all people by his suffering, death and resurrection

When does it start?
  • Each Sunday, beginning Februaryt 10, 2008, from 12:30 - 2:30 pm

How long does it last?

  • The class will meet for through May 11, 2008.
Where does the class meet?
  • The class meets in the school library, which is accessed from the east side of campus. Park in the Bering Dr. lot.
What about child care?
  • All children will receive free child care in the church nursery
  • We have trained child care workers to supervise your child(ren)
Who teaches the class?
  • Rev. Dr. Scott R. Murray, Senior Pastor of Memorial Lutheran Church
  • Pastor Murray has 23 years of teaching the faith to adults
  • He holds three advanced theological degrees including a Ph.D.
What is the cost?
  • There is no charge for the course
What do I need to bring?
  • You don't need any supplies, unless you want to bring your own Bible
  • A complimentary spiral bound outline and Bible will be given to you
What if I can't be present at a class?
  • Although it is preferable to be present at every class, recordings are made available online to keep those who cannot be present up-to-date.  Also casette or cd recordings are available.
After the class is over, then what?
  • You are prepared to become a member of Memorial Lutheran Church, if you share the faith you were taught in adult instruction
  • No one is ever coerced into joining Memorial Lutheran Church
  • You are prepared to join Memorial Lutheran Church as a member
