Cindy Del Monte is a 1976 graduate of Geneva College with a B.S. in Business Administration, majoring in Computer Science/Business Data Processing. Mrs. Del Monte earned a diploma in pastoral theology from the University of St. Thomas in December 2000. She is presently completing a master's degree in theological studies at the University of St. Thomas / St. Mary's Seminary. She also has completed doctorate-level studies in writing at Rice University. Mrs. Del Monte previously held a number of information technology positions in various corporations and served as a manager of consulting services for Deloitte & Touche. Mrs. Del Monte began teaching at Memorial Lutheran School as a substitute teacher in 1999, a preschool teacher in 2000, and a pre-kindergarten teacher from 2001 through 2005. She has served the community since 1980 as a 20-year volunteer at The Lighthouse of Houston during which time she was nominated and named runner-up for the Mayor of Houston's Volunteer of the Year award. From 1998 until 2001, Mrs. Del Monte served Memorial Lutheran School as president of the Parent-Teacher League.
