Second Grade

Ms. Amy Keilman

In second grade, the students focus on reinforcing and building upon the knowledge gained from previous years of education. They will be continually challenged to learn more in all aspects of life, especially in regards to responsibility and accountability according to God's directives for our lives as explained to us in Holy Scripture.

Holy Scripture is cited throughout the curriculum and in all aspects of the school day. The second grade students learn and apply Christian songs, prayers, Bible stories, Catechism lessons, and Bible history to their daily lives.

The curriculum in second grade focuses on memorization of facts, holidays, key people and places, and God's Creation. Second grade students work on developing into independent readers, thinkers and being responsible citizens.
